At Carvill he specialized for many years in U.S. casualty reinsurance before taking over the management of the company’s U.S. programs business. Between 2004 and 2007 Andrew was responsible for starting two U.S.-based underwriting management firms, and in late 2008 he formed Avoca Insurance Holdings, a privately held Bermuda-based company. Avoca was created to start up and operate highly specialist underwriting management companies. Today the group owns and operates four trading companies, including Manchester Specialty Programs, and is fortunate to be supported by a number of world-class insurance and reinsurance carriers in its business endeavors.

Andrew works closely with the business leaders of each company and is Chief Executive Officer of the Avoca group.
